Hardware Hacking with GNU/Linux and Phoenix-MDK

This book is about hardware hacking with Debian GNU/Linux and Phoenix-MDK.

I am writing the book using my favourite tool, LyX (ver 1.4.3). I don’t plan to put up HTML versions right now.

Ajith is designing a small AVR board - the book will use that board
to teach a few interesting things!

Raghesh, I am also working on a Python book - I need people to
try out the code, read the book and give suggestions … The book
    will be translated to Malayalam.

    Sir,

This is a new experience for people like me who are reluctant to read a complete book in one stretch. Here I am able to read the book without loosing my concentration since I don’t have a fear in my mind that I have to read a lot.

I really liked the sentence, “This book doesn’t try to hide the complexity of the Operating System by showing you pretty GUI’s - instead, the idea is to help you master that complexity!”. This is the the answer to those who asks questions like “Why do you prefer GNU/Linux?”, especially those who has some technical knowledge.

    Raghesh,

A hardware hacker will have to know a lot of stuff if he is to use GNU/Linux effectively - my idea is to bring together all this knowledge in a single book - hope it works out …
